ABOUT
West Guitarworks is a stringed instrument repair shop owned and operated by luthier Danny West, who brings over fifteen years of experience working on guitars and other stringed instruments to the bench.
Born and raised in San Diego, Danny studied at the Palomar College Woodworking program and Roberto Venn School of Luthiery and has worked for Collings Guitars and Mandolins, Brandon Madrid, Victor Baker Guitars, Hickler Banjos, and Deering Banjos before deciding to pursue his dream of opening a guitar repair shop in his hometown.
Located in the San Diego Made Factory building in Logan Heights, a few minutes away from downtown, West Guitarworks’ goal is to offer high quality and precise work with quick turnaround for musicians in the greater San Diego area. Whether it’s a restring and cleaning on an entry level student guitar or a neck reset on your grandfather’s vintage Martin, West Guitarworks has you covered.
